These terms are a starting point written for a small independent product. Have a lawyer review them before relying on them, particularly the liability and refund sections.
Overview is desktop software that runs on your computer and acts on your instructions: managing files, controlling applications, running commands, and generating text and code using third-party AI models.
You need an account to use the software. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything done through your account. Contact [email protected] if you believe someone else has access.
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay.
Each paid plan includes a daily allowance of AI model usage, measured by the underlying cost of the requests you make, resetting at midnight UTC. When an allowance runs out, that feature stops until it resets. Allowances do not roll over.
You may cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Partial months are not pro-rated.
If the software does not work for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it. Beyond that, refunds are at our discretion, but ask, and we will be reasonable.
Do not use Overview to break the law, harm others, access systems you do not have permission to access, or circumvent the usage limits of your plan. Do not resell access to your account.
Overview can create, modify, move, and delete files, run shell commands, and control applications on your machine. It asks before deleting anything and operates only inside folders you allow. Even so, AI models make mistakes. Keep backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Your requests are sent to OpenAI, and to Anthropic if you select a Claude model, for processing. Their terms and privacy policies apply to that processing. We do not control their models, their availability, or what they produce.
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uptime. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature entirely, we will refund the unused portion of your subscription.
The software is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You may stop using Overview and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, and will explain why where we reasonably can.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will notify you by email before it takes effect.
